Our Story

Monèt was born from a passion for craftsmanship and a deep respect for the artistry of tailoring. Founded by Marcus Oliver Wiles-Shortall, a Savile Row-trained tailor, Monèt exists to create semi-bespoke garments that go beyond conventional tailoring. With a focus on personal expression and individuality, we design pieces that embody both tradition and innovation.

Our journey starts with a single, simple belief: tailoring is an art. Every garment we craft—whether it’s a classic coat, an oversized bomber jacket, or a modern wide-leg trouser—is a reflection of this philosophy. We combine the finest fabrics, handpicked from the most respected mills across the globe, with a meticulous approach to design and construction, ensuring each piece fits like a second skin while remaining a statement of personal style.

Monèt is about more than just perfecting the fit. It’s about breaking the boundaries of what tailoring can be. We don’t limit ourselves to the traditional suit. We create garments that are as unique as the individuals who wear them. Whether it’s a custom chore jacket, a redefined bomber, or a tailored overcoat, our semi-bespoke approach gives you the freedom to explore new silhouettes, textures, and expressions—always with a focus on comfort, quality, and functionality.

What makes us truly unique is our ability to bring this craftsmanship directly to you. We are a travelling tailoring house, offering bespoke experiences in your home, office, hotel, or at our showrooms in London and Derbyshire. Wherever you are, we bring the art of tailoring to your door, allowing us to work with you one-on-one to create a piece that feels entirely yours.

At Monèt, tailoring is a conversation. We listen to what you want, respect your vision, and bring it to life with care, precision, and a dedication to the craft. For those who see clothing as more than just an item to wear—who see it as an expression of who they are—we are here to create that connection.
